That's a wrap on Season Nineteen. Congrats to Andrew and the North Dakota Nighthawks on their run to the Finals and thanks to everyone for another successful season.
We're going to try to have a quick turnaround this offseason. Voting for end of season awards will be open via the GM Tools shortly and remain open until noon on February 24. After that, we'll officially switch the league calendar over to Season Twenty.
I forgot to mention this last night but voting for this season's All-Star rosters is now open. Barring any schedule changes between now and then, voting should be open until noon on Saturday with the All-Star Game played that night.
The Season 19 Entry Draft went off surprisingly well today. All NSHL-eligible players who were selected should now be on their respective team's roster. Additionally, any players who were deemed NSHL-ineligible when we did re-rates due to not having signed, who have since signed in the NHL, have been added to their team's roster.
Alright, with Draft Priority Groups having been released, we can move forward with the Season 19 Drafts.
The Entry Draft is scheduled for October 1 at 3:00 PM. I specifically want to give time for this one (hence the afternoon start) because of the new draft-related code. Just in case things get nuts, I want time to fix it.
Re-rates are now complete. The list of rated players who were deemed ineligible is here.
With the Season Eighteen award winners announced, I've rolled the site over to "Season Nineteen Mode."
Up next is re-rates. I got the new ratings set from the CPHL so we're ready to go there, it's just a matter of me finding time to babysit that process. I'm going to try to get it going tomorrow but if it doesn't happen then, it'll probably be early next week.
Congrats to PM Filion and the Cape Breton Capers, winners of the Herb Brooks Memorial Trophy for the first time in team history. And congrats to Kevin Laitinen and the Sault Surge on their run to Game Seven of the Finals.
With the trade deadline having passed, voting for the team that will face the Sault Surge in the All-Star Game is now open. Voting is currently scheduled to remain open until noon on Sunday and is a required action for all teams except for the Surge.
With the Valid Roster Deadline having passed, Ottawa Valley was the team with an invalid roster. The Wolfhounds currently have 24 men on their pro roster. As demoting Tuukka Rask or Connor Hellebuyck would leave them with too few goalies, the next eligible player to be demoted is Zach Werenski, who will require waivers. I’ll be taking care of that shortly and we will move on to the Waiver Draft tonight.
The S18 Supplemental Draft is complete and all selected players have been added to their teams' respective rosters.
The Valid Roster Deadline is at noon tomorrow and, as of right now, there are six teams over at least one limit. Assuming nothing happens between now and then to prevent it, the Waiver Draft will be tomorrow night.
