With the Supplemental Draft completed and the selected players added to their teams' rosters, our next event this week is the Valid Roster deadline at noon on Thursday. Each team must be under all applicable limits by that time.
Rerates have been completed and the following rated players have been removed from their teams' rosters as ineligible:
Brampton Capitals
Karl Alzner (Unsigned)
Jonathan Ericsson (Unsigned)
Jimmy Howard (Unsigned)
Ty Rattie (Outside NHL)
Moritz Seider (No Debut)
Bode Wilde (No Debut)
Colin Wilson (Retired)
As no one immediately opposed the proposed offseason schedule, I’ve gone ahead and tentatively scheduled the drafts.
The Entry Draft is 6:00 PM on 1/24, the Supplemental Draft is 6:00 PM on 1/26, the valid roster deadline is noon on 1/28, and the Waiver Draft is 6:00 PM on 1/28. All dates/times are also on the league calendar. Obviously, things can change if something comes up or someone chimes in with a good reason to move things around.
The miracle run comes to a close as our season ends with Ottawa Valley's Game Six win over Thunder Bay. Congrats to Cory and the Wolfhounds on their first Herb Brooks Memorial Trophy championship, congrats to Chris and the Kodiaks on an entertaining run, and thanks to everyone for another successful season.
In case you missed it, All-Star roster voting is now open via the GM Tools. Barring an unforeseen change in the simming schedule, those votes will be due by Saturday around noon, at which point I'll put together the rosters. As with last season, we're putting together a single league-wide All-Star team to face the defending champions. As such, no Sentinels will be available for the All-Star team.
I'd like to formally announce that, following in the footsteps of the DFHL, the NSHL will begin awarding a prize to each season's champion in the form of a $25 gift certificate to the FHS storefront.
After a minor hiccup, the Season 15 Entry Draft is complete. All rated, eligible players who were selected should now be on their respective team's roster. Everyone else is on their team's Property List. If it looks like I missed anyone in that process, let me know.
After a small hiccup, all players selected in tonight's Supplemental Draft should now be on their respective rosters. As such, the expansion teams are now stocked.
Next up is Monday's Entry Draft. Things will start moving more quickly from here.
With the expansion draft completed, the Trades Office is back open for all teams.
Next up is the Supplemental Draft on Wednesday night. If there are any questions about that, make sure to ask.
We're inside 48 hours until each team's protected list for the Expansion Draft is due so I wanted to give a bit of a status update.
All four drafts have been scheduled as per the previously-announced calendar. Obviously, those dates are all tentative because we've never expanded before and things could break and I might need time to fix things, but we'll adjust on the fly if we need to and run with that schedule for now.
